Smashing and cleaning articles for the production process of recycled plastics

The sorted waste plastics can be fed into the crusher for grinding and cleaning. Typically, a crusher equipped with a cleaning system is used. Next to the crusher, a stand approximately 1.5 meters high is set up, with a bucket placed on it containing the cleaning solution or detergent. A flow-controlled tube is used to introduce the detergent into the crusher. This ensures that the detergent, along with water, is adequately mixed with the waste plastic during the grinding process inside the machine. The crushed material from the crusher then flows directly into the cleaning tank. The cleaning tank usually measures over 8 meters in length, 1.2 meters in width, and 1 meter in depth. It features a drain hole at the bottom and requires the installation of 3 to 4 guiding channels to direct the crushed plastic material. These guiding devices can have around 10 holes, each about ∮4 inches in diameter, on one side of a 6-minute tube. When the water is sprayed from these holes onto the surface of the water where the crushed material is floating, it creates a directional flow. At the opposite end of the cleaning tank, an automatic hopper is installed to send the directed crushed material to the leaching area for further processing. This method ensures that the cleaning process is efficient and thorough, maximizing the effectiveness of both the detergent and water while minimizing waste. It’s a crucial step in preparing the recycled plastics for their next stage of processing, ensuring they meet quality standards before being reused in various applications.
