Hello friends,
I've been taking some time to recover after a rough week dealing with vertigo. It was quite the tumble, both literally and figuratively. To make matters worse, it seems like the flu caught up with me soon after, so it's taken me nearly a week to get back on my feet. But here I am, ready to dive back into things with gratitude for my regained health.
This year has certainly been something, hasn't it? Honestly, it's been one of the toughest years of my life. In just twelve short months, there have been so many changes—big and small—that it feels overwhelming to process everything. Part of me wants to say I'm stronger for it and moving forward, but another part is still trying to piece together exactly what happened and where I'm headed next. For now, I'll set aside the deep analysis and instead focus on being thankful for the incredible support from my family and friends during these challenging times. Thank you all for being such an important part of our little community. I hope you've had a great year, and that your holidays are filled with cherished memories and joyful moments spent with loved ones.

As for us, we're taking a little breather from the blog over the next couple of weeks to celebrate the season and spend quality time with friends. At the same time, we'll use this break to plan for the exciting projects ahead in the new year. Look forward to returning in January with fresh patterns, creative ideas, and plenty of inspiration for you.
**Pinterest Picks**
The other day, these two images caught my eye—they're absolutely adorable! With the Music Class Blouse pattern, you could easily create something similar by adding suspenders to any of the following: the Butterfly Skirt, Hopscotch Skirt, Sailboat Skirt, 2 + S Skirt, or even the Puppet Show Shorts, depending on the look you're going for. I particularly love how the suspenders crisscross, which solves the common issue of suspenders slipping down.

These are two delightful projects to try during the Christmas break. Imagine making a snow globe ornament for each child every year—it would be a charming way to watch them grow!

Those snow globe cookies are just darling, aren't they? We're planning to bake gingerbread men this holiday season, keeping it simple with white icing for decoration.

Two more images that caught my attention this week. The dress could easily be made using the Terrace Dress pattern, perhaps with a ruffled hem. Personally, I'd opt for a clean, straight line instead, possibly in a silk/linen blend.

Last Saturday, I prepared lunch for 13 people, including this delicious salad. And yes, we’re definitely having rolled pork loin for Christmas—it turned out beautifully at the market this morning! I’m thinking of stuffing it with dried porcini mushrooms and apples, then wrapping it in bacon. Yum! How about you—are you cooking anything special?

**Weekend Reading**
- This touching article about parenting a teenager really resonated with me.
- Also heartwarming: this series of short dances choreographed by the extraordinarily talented Justin Peck.
- Speaking of dance, it's Nutcracker season! Who wouldn't want to meet their prince?
- My dad's German heritage means Springerle cookies are always a big tradition in our household. Mom keeps the tradition alive by baking these flavorful, anise-spiced treats every year. They taste best if you let them sit for a while before indulging!
- Traditional textiles from Bolivia are simply breathtaking.
- I’ve been told I’m a good listener, but in 2019, I aim to improve in this area.
- Did you hear the fascinating story about Claire McCardell? So much richer detail than I previously knew.
- Very insightful.
- A treasure trove of sewing and knitting terms, definitions, and etymology to impress everyone at your next crafting session.
- Some truly innovative developments are happening in the fashion industry right now.
- Absolutely fascinating.
Alright, happy holidays everyone! Time to settle in with some festive movies. See you next year. Take care!
Un abrazo fuerte!
