BAPE STORE BEIJING will end in Sanlitun, Beijing

Following the launch of the first BAPE STORE in mainland China in Shanghai in November, A Bathing Ape once again made a significant mark on the domestic market in late 2010. On December 30th, BAPE STORE BEIJING officially opened its doors in Beijing’s Sanlitun Village, marking a major milestone for the brand. Alongside the opening, a limited product release was also held in Beijing, generating excitement among fans. The new store is located in the northern part of Sanlitun Village, known as one of Beijing’s top fashion destinations. The building features a four-story panoramic glass wall, with the ground floor spanning 436 square meters. It showcases the latest streetwear trends and offers collections for men, women, kids, and Ursus. As visitors approach the entrance, they are greeted by a striking red and blue BAPE logo behind the glass, setting the tone for the immersive experience inside. Inside, the design is sleek and modern, with light gray walls, floors, and ceilings creating a minimalist atmosphere. Stainless steel display cases line the walls, while three transparent glass partitions in the center feature a unique camouflage pattern and bright lighting. This area serves as a focal point, drawing attention to the brand’s iconic style. Another entrance leads to the basement level, where the store is situated near other IT brand shops. The stainless steel wall is adorned with gray beaded patterns featuring classic skull motifs and the "GO! APE" logo. Display windows showcase colorful BAPE Shark Parka dolls, adding a bold and modern touch to the space. To celebrate the grand opening, BAPE STORE BEIJING released exclusive products in Beijing on December 30th. These items featured a red and yellow theme with Chinese elements, including the Bape Sta (RMB 2499), Shark Parka (RMB 3899), and a special edition Autograph Tee (white only, RMB 899). Additionally, a limited-edition Panda Tee was introduced, featuring Baby Milo and a panda with Beijing-inspired designs. The playful imagery of Baby Milo and pandas together created a fun and memorable look. The interior design of BAPE STORE SHANGHAI was done by Masamichi Katayama, a renowned designer who has worked with A Bathing Ape since 1998. Known for his work in retail spaces, Katayama has also designed furniture, lighting, and other products. His vision has helped create a unique and immersive environment that reflects the brand’s identity across multiple locations.
