Bally, the renowned Swiss luxury brand, has once again demonstrated its commitment to innovation and creativity by collaborating with St. Martin's School of Art and Design. On July 29th, Ben Wang News reported that Bally's latest international initiative involved a design challenge where 15 students were invited to explore the world of women's footwear. This collaboration was led by Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler, aiming to inspire fresh perspectives while maintaining Bally's signature aesthetic.
Berndt Hauptkorn, Brand Executive Director, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "We are thrilled to work with the talented students from St. Martin's. This collaboration is not just a one-time event but a long-term exchange that will help Bally continue its journey toward becoming a global luxury brand."
The students focused on the unique shape of the heel, using 15 classic models from Swiss and Italian workshops as their design inspiration. Among the participants were Estefania Cortes Hawker, William Hendry, Frida Hofslgare, Stephanie Turner, and Charles Youssef. Their creative process aimed to blend tradition with modernity, reflecting Bally’s core values of craftsmanship and elegance.
Prof. Louise Wilson, who guided the students throughout the project, emphasized the importance of such collaborations: "For young designers, having the opportunity to bring their ideas to life is incredibly valuable. Through this kind of partnership, Bally is giving emerging talent a platform to shine, and it's also a great learning experience for us."
As the fashion world continues to evolve, Bally remains at the forefront, blending heritage with innovation. From summer sandals that elongate the leg visually to V-shaped shoes that make a bold statement, the brand consistently sets trends that resonate with both men and women.
In addition to the collaboration with St. Martin's, Bally has also been making waves in the fashion scene with new collections and partnerships. Whether it's the wild king of sandals or the iconic Converse canvas shoes, there's always something fresh to explore in the world of footwear.
From Erika Jayne stepping out in New York to the latest CONVERSE campaign featuring the Chuck 70, fashion is alive and ever-changing. As we move into the summer season, it's clear that style isn't just about what you wear—it's about how you wear it. So whether you're looking for a pair of stylish sandals, a classic sneaker, or a luxurious shoe, Bally has something for everyone.
